Late Cancellation, No-Show, Late-Arrival, and Ethics Policies

At Yonge Rehab, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional service while maintaining fair compensation for our therapists. To strike this balance, we have outlined the following policies concerning last-minute cancellations, no-shows, late arrivals, and an overview of our ethics standards.

Last-Minute Cancellation

Definition: A cancellation made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

Clients cancelling within 24 hours are subject to a fee of $50 or half of the treatment cost, depending on the circumstances. Efforts will be made to reschedule without charges in the case of unforeseen circumstances. After two instances of late cancellation, pre-booking will no longer be offered for this customer.

No-Show

Definition: A client who does not arrive for their scheduled appointment without prior notice.

Clients not showing up will incur fees amounting to 50% of the service cost, depending on circumstances. After two instances of no-shows, a scheduled appointment will require pre-payment of service(s) or leaving a credit card on file.

Late-Arrival

Definition: A client who arrives more than 10 minutes late for their scheduled appointment.

Late arrivals will result in a shortened session and full payment is required for the initially booked duration. In the case of direct billing, only the time spent on the massage will be eligible for direct billing; the client is responsible for the remaining compensation for the booked time.

First-Time and Case-By-Case Waiver: The initial occurrence of a no-show or late cancellation will be exempt from charges as a courtesy. Genuine emergencies may be considered for no-show fee waivers. Contact our clinic to discuss.

Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for understanding and adhering to this policy, including having a credit card on file.
Staff Responsibility: Our staff is committed to implementing this policy professionally and
empathetically, assisting clients in rescheduling, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth
experience.

Review and Retention: We reserve the right to review and revise this policy as needed for fairness
and consistency in our service delivery.

Ethics Policies

At Yonge Rehab, our commitment extends to high-quality and ethical therapy services, including massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, and physiotherapy. Our ethics policy serves as a guide for staff and clients to maintain integrity, respect, and client-centered care.

Client Dignity and Respect: We treat every client with dignity and maintain strict confidentiality.

Informed Consent: Obtaining consent and allowing clients the right to refuse or terminate a session without judgment.

Competence and Professionalism: Therapists are qualified, licensed, and committed to ongoing education and training.

Boundaries and Personal Relationships: Maintaining professional boundaries and avoiding exploitative relationships.

Client Safety and Comfort: Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment and monitoring client comfort during sessions.

Scope of Practice: Providing services within our scope and refraining from diagnosing or providing medical treatment.

Fees and Billing Transparency: Clear information on fees, payment methods, and policies, avoiding overbilling.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Adherence to all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and professional standards.

This policy is subject to periodic review and may be updated. All staff and clients are expected to familiarize themselves with and adhere to this policy. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary action.
