Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic is a holistic approach to health and wellness that focuses on the relationship between the body structure, particularly the spine, and the function of the nervous system. Chiropractors believe that misalignments in the spine, called subluxations, can interfere with the normal function of the nervous system and cause a range of health problems, including back pain, headaches, and more.

FAQ
Do I need a referral to see a Chiropractor?
No, our chiropractors are primary healthcare providers and therefore, no referral is necessary. However, some insurance companies may require a medical referral to process your claim for reimbursement when seeing a Physiotherapist or an RMT.
Will I require X-rays?
In most cases, the answer is no. If, during your history and examination, we require x-rays, we will
discuss this with you. If x-rays are indicated, they are covered by OHIP.
How many times do I need to come?
The answer to this depends on your health goals. However, we do not promote long treatment
regimens or excessive visits. In most cases, our treatment plans range from 8 to 12 visits.
How long are the visits?
Initial visits generally take 30-45 minutes. This will include patient history, a full-body examination,
follow-up plan, and the first treatment. Subsequent visits generally take 20-30 minutes.
What treatments do Chiropractors use?
While chiropractic adjustments of the joints are commonly associated with this profession,
chiropractors are not limited to manipulation of the spine. Our chiropractor, Dr. Arvin, provides the
latest evidence-based manual chiropractic treatments that are part of modern chiropractic care. These treatments include, but are not limited to, the use of physical therapy modalities like ultrasound, electrical nerve stimulation, cold laser, ESWT, and traction, acupuncture, dry needling, the incorporation of advanced manual therapy, home exercises, and postural advice for self-management strategies.
